Kekova and the Sunken City Boat Tour

From £22.00 per person (Tuesday & Friday)

You will be driven to Üçagiz village by air conditioned mini-bus. From there you will board a boat to set sail and explore the ruins of Kekova Island an ancient Lycian city, sunk by a massive earthquake in ancient times.

Then we move on and take a tour of the picture postcard town of Kekova and visit the Byzantine Crusader Castle.

There will be plenty of swimming opportunities in the crystal waters that surround Kekova Island. A traditional Turkish lunch will be served on board the boat. This is an easy and relaxing day out.

About Kekova Island

Kekova is the name for this entire area of small picturesque islands and natural bays. In ancient times Kekova was still part of the mainland. Earthquakes over the last two thousand years have changed land elevation in this region. This has resulted in a lowering of the land beneath sea level, submerging parts of a Lycian settlement including many tombs forming a necropolis or city of the dead.
