Whilst staying in Istanbul, there are a number of optional excursions we can arrange for you – tailored to your particular interests whether that is a morning or afternoon walk around the more unusual sights of the city, an evening extravaganza of Turkish culture & cuisine, or a boat trip along the Bosporus.
Here are samples of what we can arrange. If there is something you want to do, but is not shown below then please let us know and we can find something suitable for you.
- Turkish Bath
Your Turkish bath will be at the famous Çemberlitas Hammam in the heart of old Istanbul. This sumptuous hamam is one of the best you will find … so you can be assured of a wonderful experience in expert hands. If you have never had a Turkish bath before it is a real treat … and for those who have had one, you are sure to want to indulge in another! You first enter into the warm room where you sit, chat, douse yourself with warm water drawn and put in to ornate copper bowls and your begin to perspire. This action opens your pores and gets your skin ready for the massage to begin. You lie on a warm marble slab and your attendant gives you an exfoliating scrub prior to a wash with soap suds. After this massage you are then rinsed down, again with warm water, before relaxing. A Turkish bath is the ideal way to refresh your skin, and proves an ideal way to prepare your body for getting an enviable suntan
- Princes’ Islands Tour
A ferry boat ride away from Istanbul are the Princes’ Islands, a chain of 9 small islands in the Sea of Marmara. Once places of exile, they are now popular as tourist attractions and Istanbul residents to get away from the hustle & bustle of life in the city. As motorised vehicles are banned from the islands they are so quiet – a world away from the buzz of city. The main methods of transport on the islands are bicycles and horse drawn carriages. The narrow streets of the islands are lined with pine trees and Victorian houses.
- 1001 Nights – Istanbul by Night including 4 course dinner with wine
